ROLE/RESPONSIBILITY:
FunnelScope (www.funnelscope.com), a New York-based startup innovating in the travel search space, is seeking a part-time (15 - 20 hours per week) entrepreneurial perl developer to join its team. Travel search is primed for compelling innovation and FunnelScope is seeking an entrepreneurial developer with a passion and desire to drive innovation in this space.
The candidate will assist in designing and coding critical features required to progress the application from an alpha version to beta.
Initially the compensation will solely be in equity, however upon funding candidate will also receive cash compensation. The team consists of entrepreneurs that have previously raised millions in capital.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience with perl
- Experience with perl Catalyst framework
- Experience with MySQL and Apache, and experienced creating an environment with this setup
- Experience in designing / building highly scalable web applications desirable
- Comfortable in a startup, self-directed environment
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• BS degree or equivalent
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
• Must be detailed oriented
COMPENSATION
Until the company raises its first round of funding, compensation will be solely in the form of options / equity in company. The expected timing of raising capital will be Q1 2010. If you have the ability to work part time on such a project, this is a rare opportunity to join an innovative startup in the early stages.
